RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Roofing FAQs
RENOLIT ALKORPLAN membranes have six main advantages:
- Cost-effectiveness
- Economies on the installation costs: one single 30 m2 roll replaces 6 bituminous rolls in a 2-layer system.
- Economies on the structure costs: waterproofing is 5 times lighter than the traditional multilayer systems.
Economies on the maintenance costs: generally limited to bi-annual inspections.
- Fire Safety
- No naked flame during installation.
Excellent fire behaviour.
- Aesthetic
- Adaptable to most roof substrates.
- A broad colour range (RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Design).
Integrity of the seams.
- Physical properties
- Vapour permeability.
- Flexibility.
- Static and dynamic perforation resistance.
RENOLIT ALKORPLAN roofing membranes have on average a proven longevity of over 35 years. Some extra features can lead to an even longer durability, thanks to the lower influence of heat and cold cycles, such as the cool roof RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Bright. With a proper installation and maintenance scheme, our PVC-P membranes can last up to more than 40 years, as stated by the BBA (British Board of Agrément).
We have been on the market for synthetic roofing membranes for over 40 years, providing reliable waterproofing to thousands of buildings.
Thanks to the expanded know-how developed within the RENOLIT Group, we developed unique technologies, such as a special coating (Solar Shield Technology) and lacquering system. Such technologies make our PVC-P membranes extremely resistant to UV rays, chemicals, and dirt, leading to longer durability and extra functionality, such as temperature decrease.
RENOLIT ALKORPLAN range consists of thermoplastic PVC-P roofing membranes. These have been used throughout the world for almost 45 years in the synthetic waterproofing of industrial flat roofs, for both new construction and renovation projects.
As standard, these roofing membranes are installed on the roof by mechanical fastening, bonding, or ballasting.
